REFRACTORY, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING REFRACTORY, AND APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING GLASS ARTICLE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a refractory capable of suitably manufacturing a glass article by enhancing the durability of a furnace wall surrounding the periphery of molten glass; a method for manufacturing the refractory; and an apparatus and method for manufacturing the glass article.SOLUTION: A refractory 11 is used as a component constituting a furnace wall arranged at a position surrounding the periphery of molten glass and includes a coating 12 having a structure obtained by sintering crystalline silica dioxide particles. A method for manufacturing the refractory 11 comprises: the application step of applying a dispersion including crystalline silica dioxide particles on a fire-resistant base material B; and the sintering step of sintering the crystalline silica dioxide particles on the fire-resistant base material B after the application step, and an apparatus for manufacturing the glass article includes the furnace wall arranged at a position surrounding the periphery of the molten glass. The component constituting the furnace wall includes the refractory 11 and is arranged so that the coating 12 forms the inner surface of the furnace wall.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
