PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite foundation pile which is suitable for a foundation pile of a small-scale building such as a house, which has particularly great bearing capacity and a drainage function during liquefaction, and which can be inexpensively constructed.SOLUTION: A composite foundation pile 1 is constructed within ground that comprises an upper layer 2 where consolidation settlement is a concern, and a lower layer 5 where there is little possibility of great settlement over a long period of time. The composite foundation pile comprises a crushed stone pile 3 that is constructed within the upper layer 2 in such a manner as to continue into the lower layer 5, a prefabricated pile 4 that is constructed within the crushed stone pile 3 in such a manner as to continue into the lower layer 5, and a foot protection part 6 that is constructed within the lower layer 5 immediately below the prefabricated pile 4 and the crushed stone pile 3.
