CONFIRMATION TOOL FOR CONTACT POSITION BETWEEN RAIL AND WHEEL
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for readily confirming a contact position between a wheel and a rail corrected by grinding of a railway, at a site of the grinding work.SOLUTION: A tool (1) is for confirming a contact position between rails (2A, 2B) installed in parallel to each other and a wheel in contact respectively with the rails (2a, 2B). The tool (1) includes wheel simulation parts (11A, 11B) and a connection part (12). The wheel simulation part (11A) includes a surface for contacting with the rail (2A). The surface has a contour that is the same with a contour of a tread and a flange of a cross-section through an axial center of the wheel, when seen from a direction of extension of the rail (2A). The wheel simulation part (11B) includes a surface for contacting with the rail (2B). The surface has a contour that is the same with a contour of a tread and a flange of a cross-section through the axial center of the wheel, when seen from the direction of extension of the rail (2B). The connection part (12) extends in a width direction of a track. The connection part (12) is connected between the wheel simulation parts (11A, 11B).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
