PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high sound insulation staircase capable of suppressing generations of noises in use to the utmost and effectively blocking transmission of vibrations to the outside of a stairhall.SOLUTION: A high sound insulation staircase includes a spiral step part that has an outside end of a spiral tread supported by two spiral side plates 13 and 14 joined in an L-shape, and a straight part that has both ends of a rectangular tread supported by two straight side plates 15 and 16 arranged in parallel, respectively. A self-supporting frame 1, which is not brought into contact with an interior wall of a stairhall, is formed on a floor surface on a downstairs side. The spiral side plates 13 and 14 and the spiral tread are supported on the self-supporting frame 1 independently of the interior wall in a position at a distance from the interior wall of the stairhall, and upper ends of the straight side plates 15 and 16 are supported on the self-supporting frame 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
