REPLACEMENT METHOD FOR MAIN CABLE OF SUSPENSION BRIDGE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a replacement method for a main cable of a suspension bridge in which a main cable of a suspension bridge is replaced without installing a temporary cable along the main cable prior to removing the main cable and eliminating complicated processes to an extent possible.SOLUTION: A diagonal suspension cable 11 is spanned between a main tower 2 and a stiffening girder 5 of a suspension bridge 1, for holding the stiffening girder 5. A hanger rope 4 is dismantled and removed under the condition, and a main cable 3 is replaced. The new hanger rope 4 is hung from the newly installed main cable 3, and the main cable 3 is made to hold the stiffening girder 5 while the hanger rope 4 supports the stiffening girder 5. Then, the diagonal suspension cable 11 is removed. A diagonal suspension steel tower 13 is installed outside of the main tower 2 when necessary, for having the diagonal suspension cable 11 spanned between the diagonal suspension steel tower 13 and the stiffening girder 5 and holding the stiffening girder 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】吊り橋の主ケーブルの取替施工を実施する場合に、主ケーブルの取り外しに先立って該主ケーブルに沿って仮ケーブルを架設して行うことがなくして煩雑な作業を極力減じる吊り橋の主ケーブルの取替方法を提供する。【解決手段】吊り橋1の主塔2と補剛桁5との間に斜吊りケーブル11を掛け渡して補剛桁5を保持させる。この状態でハンガーロープ4を解体除去し、主ケーブル3を取り替える。新たに架設された主ケーブル3に新たなハンガーロープ4を垂下させ、該ハンガーロープ4に補剛桁5を支持させて、主ケーブル3に補剛桁5を保持させる。その後、前記斜吊りケーブル11を取り外す。また、必要に応じて、前記主塔2の外側に斜吊り用鉄塔13を設置し、前記斜吊りケーブル11を該斜吊り用鉄塔13と補剛桁5とに掛け渡して補剛桁5を保持させる。【選択図】図3
