PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active vibrations controller and a method for controlling active vibrations which can desirably achieve reduction of noise which propagates from the outside to the inside of a building and are relatively simple and economically efficient.SOLUTION: The present invention includes a phase adjusting unit having an analog circuit 12 which can be set in advance so that a phase difference wτ between the phase of a vibration acceleration A×emeasured by a vibration acceleration measuring unit 11 and the phase of an adjusted signal input to a vibrator 14 will be in the range of -π/2<π/2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
