SUBSTRATE FOR DISK ROLL, MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR, DISK ROLL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for disk rolls excellent in compression strength and abrasion resistance, used for transporting a sheet glass in a slowly cooling process in order to sandwich a band-shaped glass molten article by a down-draw method and forcibly send down the same, or to remove strain due to heat of a glass sheet manufactured by a float method, a roll-out method, a Colburn method or the like.SOLUTION: There is provided a substrate for disk rolls 10 containing a layering silicate, constituted to contain two or more kinds of minerals having an interlayer distance of 10Å as the layering silicate. There is provide a substrate for disk rolls 10 where preferably the minerals have an interlayer distance of 100Å or less. There is provided a substrate for disk rolls 10, where the minerals are selected from minerals included in smectite, vermiculite or chlorite and is preferably 5-60 mass% based on mass of the substrate for disk rolls 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】ダウンドロー法による帯状ガラス溶融物を挟持して強制的に下方に送り出すためや、フロート法、ロールアウト法、コルバーン法等により製造されるガラス板の熱によるひずみを取り除くために、徐冷工程において板ガラスを搬送するために使用する、圧縮強度及び耐磨耗性に優れるディスクロール用基材の提供。【解決手段】層状珪酸塩を含むディスクロール１０用基材であって、該層状珪酸塩として、層間距離が１０Åを超える鉱物を２種類以上含有するように構成されるディスクロール１０用基材。好ましくは、前記鉱物が、１００Å以下の層間距離である、ディスクロール１０用基材。前記鉱物がスメクタイト族、バーミキュライト族又は緑泥石族に含まれる鉱物から選択されるものであり、ディスクロール１０用基材の質量に対して、５〜６０質量％であることが好ましいディスクロール１０用基材。【選択図】図１
