PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fireproof wood having high fire resistance efficiency.SOLUTION: Fireproof wood A includes a core material 1 for bearing a load, an inside fireproof layer 2 for coating a peripheral surface of the core material 1, and an outside fireproof layer 3 for coating a peripheral surface of the inside fireproof layer 2. The inside fireproof layer 2 is made of a plurality of mutually-joined inside noncombustible plate materials 21, 22, 23 and 24. The outside fireproof layer 3 is made of a plurality of mutually-joined outside noncombustible plate materials 31, 32, 33 and 34. Joints 3a, 3b, 3c and 3d of the outside noncombustible plate materials and joints 2a, 2b, 2c and 2d of the inside side noncombustible plate materials are away from one another.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
