PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wooden building material which has high strength in all directions, looks high-class due to a solid appearance, and can keep costs low.SOLUTION: A core material 3 is arranged so that the lamination direction (A-B direction) of LVL 3a intersects with the lamination direction (C-D direction) of LVL 3b and 3c. Thus, when a wooden building material 1 is used as a pillar, the LVL 3b and 3c exert a large strength against force (force in the A-B direction) that tends to buckle the wooden building material 1 and the LVL 3a exerts a large strength against force (such as force in the C-D or E-F direction) that tends to laterally bend the wooden building material 1. This makes it possible to create a structural material having large strength in all directions, as it were.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】全方向に対し大きな強度を有し、しかも外観が無垢材で高級感があり、且つコストを低く抑えることが可能な、木質建材を提供する。【解決手段】芯材3はLVL3aの積層方向(A−B方向)とLVL3b、3cの積層方向(C−D方向)が交差するように配置されているので、木質建材1を柱として用いた場合、この木質建材1を座屈させようとする力(A−B方向の力)に対してはLVL3b、3cが大きな強度を発揮し、木質建材1を横方向へ曲げようとする力(例えばC−D、E−F方向の力)に対してはLVL3aが大きな強度を発揮する。従って、いわば全方向に対して大きな強度をもつ構造材を実現することができる。【選択図】 図2
