COMMUNICATION SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE AND PORTABLE MACHINE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system for a vehicle and a portable machine.SOLUTION: A communication system for a vehicle comprises: an on-board machine which transmits signals from a plurality of antennas provided to the vehicle; and a portable machine which receives signals transmitted from the on-board machine and transmits response signals corresponded to the received signals. The portable machine comprises: a measurement section which measures receive signal strength of signals transmitted from a plurality of antennas respectively; a determination section which determines whether the portable machine exists or not in a specific region set on an outside of the vehicle based on the receive signal strength measured by the measurement section; and a strength change section which makes transmit signal strength differ from when response signals corresponded to the signals are transmitted, in accordance with whether the portable machine exists or not in the specific region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
