PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for constructing a core member and an apparatus for constructing a core member capable of precisely constructing a core member in a soil improvement body in an unconsolidated state using simple equipment.SOLUTION: An apparatus for constructing a core member comprises an air injection tube provided with an injection port for injecting compressed air in a horizontal direction which is arranged in a core member in a way that the injection port is positioned at a part lower than a lower end of the core member. A method for constructing a core member is configured to construct a core member in a soil improvement body in an unconsolidated state by being inserted into the soil improvement body with its dead weight while injecting compressed air from the injection port.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
