PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the design characteristics of a construct such as a handrail.SOLUTION: The handrail comprises : a pair of end columns 2; a coping 5 which is put across top ends of the end columns 2; and a coupling 6 for coupling the end columns 2 and the coping 5 to each other. The coupling 6 includes: a coupling base 61 which is to be fixed to the top of the end column 2 with a self-tapping screw 11 and is to be fixed to the end portion of the coping 5 with a hexagonal headed bolt 12; and a coupling cover 62 which is to be fixed to the coupling base 61 with a hexagonal headed bolt 13 while covering the coupling base 61. The coping 5 includes: a coping body 51; and an inner circumferential surface cover 59 which is to be attached to the inner circumferential surface of the coping body 51 so as to cover the hexagonal headed bolt 12 and the hexagonal headed bolt 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
