PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating agent for building interior which allows an unexperienced person and a housewife to construct a plastered wall as if to sweep the wall, and to provide an interior surface coating method using the agent.SOLUTION: A coating agent for building interior is used for coating an interior surface of a building. The interior surface is at least one surface selected from a water absorptive surface and an uneven surface excluding a non-water absorptive mirror surface. The coating agent for building interior is an emulsion-like liquid matter in which primary particles of calcium hydroxide is dispersed in water or in an aqueous emulsion.SELECTED DRAWING: None
