PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new door pivot shaft device enabling easy installing of a swing door in a door frame.SOLUTION: A door pivot shaft device, which is provided inside a swing door D for defining a pivot axis P of the door, includes: a pivot shaft 14 inserted into a shaft hole of a door frame F; and a supporting member 18 that extends laterally inside the door D with respect to an axis of the pivot shaft 14 to be pivoted to the door at a pivot position, the supporting member being configured to support the pivot shaft in a displaceable manner between projected and retracted positions, the projected position being projected from the door for allowing the pivot shaft to be inserted into the shaft hole, the retracted position being retracted inside the door as compared with the projected position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
