PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly rigid and durable load bearing member.SOLUTION: A load bearing member includes a plurality of bearing members (10) each of which comprises an H-section steel. The plurality of bearing members (10) have flanges that are welded adjacently to each other, and include at least a pair of welded flanges (11A, 11B), and two outer flanges (13A, 13B). A dimension in a width direction (W1) of the welded flange (11A) on a side should be equal to or less than dimensions in the width direction (W2, W2') of each of the outer flanges (13A, 13B), while a dimension in the width direction (W3) of the welded flange (11B) on the other side should be equal to or less than dimensions in the width direction (W2, W2') of each of the outer flanges (13A, 13B).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
