PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminous glazing unit.SOLUTION: A luminous glazing unit according to the present invention includes: at least two glazing elements, in particular at least two transparent glass sheets; optionally at least one lamination interlayer between the two glazing elements; at least one waveguide element, located on one face of the lamination interlayer and/or between the two glazing elements, the waveguide element having a refractive index higher than the refractive index of the adjacent interlayer and/or glazing elements; at least one light source, in particular positioned at the edge of the glazing unit to illuminate the waveguide element via the edge face thereof; and at least one light extraction means formed by at least one fibrous structure, the structure being advantageously in the form of at least one textile, and the structure or the extraction means being placed in the core of the waveguide element.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
