PERIPHERY MONITORING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a periphery monitoring device for a vehicle which can support safety when getting off the vehicle by utilizing an imaging part mounted on the vehicle.SOLUTION: A periphery monitoring device 20 for a vehicle is mounted on a vehicle which comprises a first camera 5 imaging a rear direction and a rearward side direction of the vehicle. The monitoring device 20 includes: a distance detection part 21b1 which detects a distance up to an object on the basis of a picked-up image output from the first camera 5; a course prediction part 21b2 which predicts a track of the object on the basis of transition of the distance up to the object; and an approach prediction part 21b3 which predicts whether or not the object approaches to a door opening/closing region regulating a movable range, in which side doors 2, 3 of the vehicle open/close, on the basis of the track of the predicted object.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】車両に搭載された撮像部を利用して、車両降車時の安全を支援することができる車両用周辺監視装置を提供する。【解決手段】車両用周辺監視装置20は、車両の後方及び後側方を撮像する第1カメラ5を備える車両に搭載されている。この監視装置20は、第1カメラ5から出力される撮像画像に基づいて、対象物までの距離を検出する距離検出部21b1と、対象物までの距離の推移に基づいて対象物の進路を予測する進路予測部21b2と、予測された対象物の進路とに基づいて、車両のサイドドア2,3が開閉する可動範囲を規定したドア開閉領域へ対象物が進入するか否かを予測する進入予測部21b3と、を有している。【選択図】図2
