CERAMIC SINTERED BODY AND WIRING SUBSTRATE USING THE SAME
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic sintered body having high mechanical strength and chemical resistance, and excellent in high frequency characteristics, and to provide a wiring substrate using the same.SOLUTION: A ceramic sintered body comprises a composite phase of an alumina crystal phase 1a and a Mullite crystal phase 1b, as a main crystal phase 1, and contains a Kanoite crystal phase 5 in a grain boundary 3 of the main crystal phase 1. The alumina crystal phase 1a is surrounded with the Mullite crystal phase 1b spreading in a matrix. A wiring substrate includes: an insulating base constituted by the ceramic sintered body; and a conductor layer prepared at least on a surface of the insulating base.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
