To provide a throating member which can be composed of a light-weight foam without reducing its strength.SOLUTION: A throating member 10 is formed by molding a foam having flexibility into a filament body including a base 11 having a joint surface 20 to be joined with the undersurface of a structure, and a wall part 12 vertically extending from the base 11 to the joint surface 20; and being symmetrically formed with respect to a center line C-C. The base 11 has a prescribed thickness Ta, and inclined side walls 21 are formed on both side edges thereof becoming an acute angle with the joining surface 20. The wall part 12 includes: a bent part 30 formed with a prescribed curvature in a cross section being continuous from the side wall 21 of the base 11 via a corner part 13, and whose thickness gradually decreases toward a tip 12a; and a straight part 31 continuous from the bent part 30 toward the tip 12a, whose cross section is linearly formed with the cross section extending at a constant thickness Tb.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
