VEHICLE DOOR OPEN/CLOSE DEVICE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle door open/close device that allows a user to recognize that his/her foot is properly stepped into a detection area of a detection unit.SOLUTION: A vehicle door open/close device includes: a portable device 200 capable of transmitting a request signal for setting a sliding door 20 in a locked state or an unlocked state; a detection unit 50 configured to detect whether or not the left foot F of each of the users X, Y, and Z exists in a non-contact manner; an authentication ECU 24 on the side of the vehicle 12 which performs authentication communication with the portable device 200, and a vehicle door open/close device main body 302 which drives the sliding door 20 to an open state in response to an authentication success involved in the authentication communication with the portable device 200 performed by the authentication ECU 24 after the detection unit 50 has detected the left foot F. The detection unit 50 makes a notification when detecting that the left foot F is stepped in or retracted from a detection area R.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
