To provide a footboard and a gap cover for a scaffold which facilitate an operation of attaching and removing a gap cover when required.SOLUTION: A gap cover 40 attached on a footboard comprises: an opposed wall 42 having a concave groove 43 removably fitting to a protruded strip 34 at an end of the footboard 20; and an upper wall 44, which is integrally connected to the opposed wall 42 and covering a gap between respectively opposing footboards for a scaffold in a state that the concave groove 43 fit in the protruded strip 34 respectively. Also, the gap cover 40 is arranged on the opposed wall 42, comprising: an operation shaft 45 arranged operationally and selectably between a holding operation position keeping a fitting of the concave groove 43 and the protruded strip 34 and a fitting release allowing position allowing the fitting of the concave grooves 43 and the protruded strip 34 to be released; a coil spring 48; and a lock shaft 47.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
