STRUCTURE FOR REDUCING EARTHQUAKE STRESS CAUSED ON ARCHITECTURAL STRUCTURE
To provide a solution, which is not to further enhance the earthquake resistance of architectural structures themselves, but to aim at reducing stress per unit area by increasing to the utmost the area of: a) the outer-surface side of the rising part in the case of lateral-vibration earthquake; b) the bottom-surface side of leveling concrete in the case of vertical-vibration earthquake or epicentral earthquake; and c) the surface of breakwaters and the like, which faces tsunami wave in the case of tsunami.SOLUTION: A structure for reducing earthquake stress caused on architectural structures in this invention is characterized by placing at the bottom of structures a structure which can divide earthquake stress into vertical stress and shear stress.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
