To provide sign poles capable of preventing vehicles entering an on-coming lane or side strip without causing major damage or injury to vehicles and occupants, for express highway medial strips and the like, and in particular for bridges and tunnels.SOLUTION: A road sign pole comprises a sign pole body 5 made of a cylindrical elastic material and filled inside with a foam material 6, and a pedestal base 4 for erecting the sign pole body 5. A screw member 1 projecting downward is provided in the lower part of the pedestal base 4. The screw member 1 is made of a metallic material and includes an upper joint 1b, and a lower joint 1a screwed and fixed to an inner peripheral joint 2a of a buried pipe 2, being integrally formed with an intermediate part 1c provided between the upper joint 1b and the lower joint 1a and penetrating a through hole 4a formed in the bottom surface of the pedestal base 4. A cylindrical steel pipe 3 extends upward from the pedestal base 4 inside the sign pole body 5, with the lower part of the steel pipe 3 fixed to the outer periphery of the upper joint 1b of the screw member 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
