To provide a supporting member capable of densely and efficiently attaching a plate member as decoration and a structure in which the plate member is attached using the supporting member.SOLUTION: A plurality of glass plates 50 are attached to a connecting member 20 fixed to a building and extending in the horizontal direction using a first supporting member 30 and a second supporting member 40. The first supporting member 30 and the second supporting member 40 are each provided with a sandwiching portion G1 for sandwiching both surfaces of the glass plate 50 from the side end portion of the glass plate 50. The first supporting member 30 has an upper surface portion 37 connected to a connection portion 36 and extending horizontally and a latch portion 31 having an engagement side surface portion 38 provided on the opposite side to the sandwiching portion G1 with respect to the upper surface portion 37. The second supporting member 40 comprises a hooking portion 41 which has an upper surface portion 47 connected to a connecting portion 46 and extending horizontally and an engagement side surface portion 48 provided on the opposite side to the sandwiching portion G1 with respect to the upper surface portion 47.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
