To provide a foreign matter detection sensor capable of suppressing deterioration of a waterproof performance.SOLUTION: A foreign matter detection sensor 13 has a hollow insulator 22 which is long-sized and is hollow, and a long-sized sensor part 21 having a plurality of electrode wires 23 and 24 arranged inside of the hollow insulator 22 so as to be separated from each other. The foreign matter detection sensor 13 has a metal wire 53 for supplying electric power to the electrode wires 23 and 24 extracted from a longitudinal end side of the hollow insulator 22 to the outside, an outer cover 54 covering the metal wire 53, and a lead wire having a sheath 55 covering the metal wire 53 by covering the outer cover 54. The foreign matter detection sensor 13 has a sealing member 34 molded with a resin, which includes the end of the hollow insulator 22, the end of the electrode wires 23 and 24, the end of the metal wire 53 and the sheath 55. The hollow insulator 22, the outer cover 54 and the sheath 55 are formed of a material which is dissolved at a temperature at which the resin of the sealing member 34 is in a fluid state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
【課題】防水性能の低下を抑えることができる異物検知センサを提供する。【解決手段】異物検知センサ13は、長尺中空状の中空絶縁体22及び中空絶縁体22の内部に互いに離間して配置された複数の電極線23,24を有する長尺状のセンサ部21を有する。異物検知センサ13は、中空絶縁体22の長手方向端部から外部に引き出された電極線23,24に電力を供給する金属線53と、金属線53を覆う外皮54と、外皮54覆うことで金属線53を覆うシース55とを有するリード線とを備える。異物検知センサ13は、中空絶縁体22の端部、電極線23,24の端部、金属線53の端部、及び前記シース55を含めて樹脂によりモールドされた封止部材34を有する。前記中空絶縁体22と外皮54及びシース55とは、封止部材34の樹脂が流動状態における温度で溶解する材質よりなる。【選択図】図4
