FLAP GATE FOR TSUNAMI AND STORM SURGE
To provide a flap gate for tsunami and storm surge that holds the fully opened state normally and that can close the opening of a sluice gate automatically when an earthquake with a predetermined seismic intensity or greater occurs.SOLUTION: The flap gate for tsunami and storm surge includes a door body 3 that is swingable about a door body support pivot 22 and that is supported by a balance weight closing an opening 11 or opening it slightly, a hydraulic cylinder 4 opening and closing the door body 3, earthquake detection means 5 for detecting the occurrence of an earthquake with a predetermined seismic intensity or greater, and hydraulic control means 6 for controlling the pressure of hydraulic fluid supplied to the hydraulic cylinder 4. The hydraulic control means 6 normally controls the pressure of the hydraulic fluid supplied to the hydraulic cylinder 4 to hold the door body 3 in the fully opened state, and automatically opens a conduit 64 supplying the hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic cylinder 4, releases oil pressure on the hydraulic cylinder 4, and makes the door body 3 in the closed state using the balance weight when the earthquake detection means 5 detects an earthquake with a predetermined seismic intensity or greater.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
