PINCHING DETECTOR
To provide a pinching detector having a simple structure and capable of reducing a dead zone at its end part.SOLUTION: A pinching detector is configured to detect whether to pinch an object between a first member and a second member, and comprises: a waveguide that is provided in one or both of the first and second members, and elastically deforms when the object is pinched; a first sonic wave input unit provided on one end side of the waveguide, and configured to input sonic waves to the waveguide; a first signal acquisition unit provided on the one end side of the waveguide, and configured to convert the sonic waves propagating in the waveguide into electrical signals, to generate response signals; and a signal processing unit configured to execute trend removal processing and Fourier transformation for the response signals to generate position response, and when a peak exists in the position response, determine that the object is being pinched.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
