To provide a composite body where a metal shaped material and a resin molding are joined to each other and which is enhanced in dimensional accuracy.SOLUTION: A composite body 10 includes a coated metal shaped material 100 having a metal shaped material and an organic resin layer arranged on the surface of the metal shaped material, and a thermoplastic resin molding 200 joined to the coated metal shaped material 100. In the composite body 10, the coated metal shaped material 100 and the thermoplastic resin molding 200 are joined to each other through a compatible layer 107 formed of only a resin component derived from the organic resin layer and the thermoplastic resin molding 200.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
