SEISMIC ISOLATOR AND SEISMIC ISOLATION STRUCTURE HAVING THE SAME
To provide a seismic isolator capable of damping a seismic force on a lower part of a building and eliminating an influence on a building as much as possible.SOLUTION: A seismic isolator installed between a base 3 fixed to a building and a foundation 4 of the building comprises: a sliding bearing fixing member attached to the base 3; a sliding bearing 6 attached to the sliding bearing fixing member; a bearing sliding base 7 for supporting the sliding bearing 6; a device fixing board installed on the foundation 4 to support the bearing sliding base 7; and a shock absorbing member 8 interposed between the bearing sliding base 7 and the device fixing board. A contact surface of the sliding bearing 6 is provided with a plurality of first contact ridges, and a contact surface of the bearing sliding base 7 is provided with a plurality of second contact ridges. The plurality of first contact ridges on the sliding bearing 6 side are contact-supported by the plurality of second contact ridges on the bearing siding base 7 side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
