ASEISMIC ISOLATION STRUCTURE
To provide an aseismic isolation structure to effectively reduce vertical vibration.SOLUTION: An aseismic isolation structure is provided with a vertical damping device, the vertical damping device placed in an aseismic layer between an upper structure and a lower structure being configured to damp vibration created by tension and compression in a vertical direction which connects its upper end to the upper structure and its lower end to the lower structure, wherein a damping force generated with a relative displacement created by movements of the upper end and the lower end at a predetermined speed in a tension area is larger than a damping force generated with a relative displacement created by movements of the upper end and the lower end at a predetermined speed in a compression area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
