ROAD STUD AND PEDESTRIAN PROTECTION SYSTEM
To provide a road stud and pedestrian protection system which notifies pedestrians of dangerous events such as an approaching silent vehicle.SOLUTION: A road stud 100 has an LED which is light emitting means provided on a road or roadside curbstone and emitting light, and a light emitting surface 102 provided with the light emitting means. The road stud includes: vehicle detection means detection parts 103, 103B for detecting a vehicle located within a prescribed range from the road stud 100 and both forward and reversing vehicle directions for the vehicle; and a controller which is light emitting control means for causing the light emitting means of the light emitting surface to emit light when the vehicle direction of the vehicle detected by the vehicle detection means corresponds to being in front of the light emitting surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
