To provide a technique that ensures convenience even when communication in a smart entry system is stopped.SOLUTION: A portable machine 10 transmits, to an in-vehicle device 20, a second signal including information about the reception intensity of a first signal as a response to the first signal received from the in-vehicle device 20. An operation unit 100 receives an operation to stop communication with the in-vehicle device 20 from a user. When the operation unit 100 receives an operation, a communication unit 120 transmits, to the in-vehicle device 20, the second signal including information about a communication stop in accordance with the operation received by the operation unit 100. A control unit 102 causes the communication unit 120 to stop communicating with the in-vehicle device 20 in a case where the reception intensity of the first signal received in the communication unit 120 is equal to or less than a threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
