MANUFACTURING METHOD OF CERAMIC HONEYCOMB FILTER AND CERAMIC HONEYCOMB FILTER
To provide a manufacturing method of a ceramic honeycomb filter where cracks are hardly caused at a partition wall intersection part in the vicinity of the inner end surface of the flow passage of a sealing part and thermal shock resistance is kept even when thermal shock acts at the time of regenerating a filter and the like and to provide the ceramic honeycomb filter.SOLUTION: In a method for forming a sealing part where a sealing material is introduced into the prescribed flow passage of a cordierite ceramic honeycomb structure obtained by performing first firing and dried and second firing is performed, the sealing material has ceramic particles consisting of a cordierite-blended raw material blended so as to become cordierite after the second firing of 20-50 mass% and preliminarily fired cordierite-fired powders of 50-80 mass% and a pore-forming material of 0.5-20 pts.mass to 100 pts.mass of the ceramic particles, the cordierite-blended raw material has a median particle diameter of 3-10 μm and a D90 of 25 μm or less, the cordierite-fired powders have a median particle diameter of 100-180 μm and the pore-forming material has a median particle diameter of 35-55 μm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】 フィルタ再生時等に熱衝撃が作用した場合でも目封止部の流路内端面近傍の隔壁交点部にクラックが発生し難い耐熱衝撃性が維持されたセラミックハニカムフィルタの製造方法およびセラミックハニカムフィルタを得る。【解決手段】第1の焼成を行って得られるコーディエライト質セラミックハニカム構造体の所定の流路に目封止材を導入、乾燥後、第2の焼成を行って目封止部を形成する方法であって、目封止材は第2の焼成後にコーディエライトとなるように配合されたコーディエライト配合原料20〜50質量%と、予め焼成されたコーディエライト焼成粉末50〜80質量%とからなるセラミックス粒子と、前記セラミックス粒子100質量部に対して造孔材を0.5〜20質量部有し、コーディエライト配合原料のメジアン粒子径が3〜10μm、D90が25μm以下、コーディエライト焼成粉末のメジアン粒子径が100〜180μm、造孔材のメジアン粒子径が35〜55μmである。【選択図】 図1
