To provide an installation device and an installation method for installing a vibration control device, the installation device having a simple and light-weight structure and capable of surely installing a vibration control device in an automatic warehouse.SOLUTION: In an installation device 8 of a vibration control device 1 for fixing the vibration control device 1 with a movable maass 7 to a pallet storage part S surrounded by columns 2 at four corners, the installation device comprises: a base frame 10 bridged between cargo receiving bases 5 and 5 disposed on both sides in the width direction of the pallet storage part S; a movable frame 20 disposed so as to be movable in the width direction of the pallet storage part S relative to the base frame 10; first transfer means 30 for transferring the movable frame 20; an abutting member 40 disposed movably in the depth direction of the pallet storage part S on the movable frame 20; and second transfer means 50 for moving the abutting member 40.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
