To provide an outer door handle mechanism that allows the emergency unlocking device to be handled more easily.SOLUTION: There is provided an outer door handle mechanism 1 for cars. A tensioning means 13 comprises an emergency unlocking device provided to actuate the emergency opening mechanism and to emergency unlock the vehicle door. The cover is configured as a handle bezel 5. The handle bezel 5 is pivotally mounted relative to a grip handle 4 and locked to the grip handle 4 in the closed position and released from the grip handle 4 in the emergency unlocking position and may be pivoted relative to the grip handle 4. As for the handle bezel 5, by pulling the handle bezel 5, a tension means 13 can be actuated for mechanical actuation of the emergency opening mechanism of the vehicle door.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
