To produce a polycrystalline boron nitride having a fine texture and toughness.SOLUTION: The production method of a polycrystalline boron nitride contains: a first step of heating a powder of a high pressure phase boron nitride at 1300°C or over to obtain a heat treatment powder; and a second step of obtaining a polycrystalline boron nitride by sintering the heat-treated powder under a condition of 8-20 GPa and 1200-2300°C.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】微細な組織を有し、かつ強靭となる窒化ホウ素多結晶体を製造する。【解決手段】窒化ホウ素多結晶体の製造方法は、高圧相窒化ホウ素の粉末を1300℃以上で熱処理することにより熱処理粉末を得る第1工程と、前記熱処理粉末を、8〜20GPaかつ1200〜2300℃の条件下で焼結することにより窒化ホウ素多結晶体を得る第2工程とを含む。【選択図】図1
