DOOR CHECK MECHANISM FOR VEHICLE AND DOOR CHECK METHOD FOR VEHICLE
To provide a door check mechanism that achieves miniaturization and space saving with a simple structure, and that enhances the degree of freedom of layout design for storage components in a door body, and a door check method.SOLUTION: Contrary to prior arts, the present invention has a structure in which a linear check bar 22 is fixed near a panel of a door body and a door checker 21 is movable so as to slide on the check bar 22 depending on door opening and closing operations. A link arm 24, one end of which is attached to a vehicle body rotatably and the other end of which is connected to the door checker 21, is used for the movement of the door checker 21, and the door checker 21 is moved in a sliding manner on an outer peripheral surface of the check bar 22 depending on door opening and closing operations. A slider 55, which is disposed in the door checker 21 for restraining its movement by contacting the check bar 22, comes into contact with at least three locations of the outer periphery of the check bar 22, preferably with the whole periphery. This enhances restraint force and contributes to further miniaturization of the door checker 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
