The bracket 40 has an attachment portion 41b attached to an inner panel 6, and the attachment portion 41b is located above a door closer mechanism 30 in a state where the vehicle door lock device 5 is attached to the inner panel 6. The protective cover 50 has a side wall portion 51, and a buttock 52 provided so as to continue along an edge portion 51a of the side wall portion 51 located on the side of the attachment portion 41b, and extends to cross the space between the main portion 31 and the attachment portion 41b starting from the edge portion 51a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
