To prevent loose fitting between a fitting portion on a door side and a fitted portion on a door opening side and suppress rattling in the closed state of a door.SOLUTION: There is provided a vehicle door restraint device for suppressing rattling when a door is closed by fitting a fitting portion on a door side to a fitted portion on a door opening side of a vehicle body when the door is closed. A recess 40k in which an axial center is arranged along a movement trace of the door is provided in one of the fitting portion and the fitted portion, and a protrusion 40t in which the axial center is arranged along the movement trace of the door is provided in the other one of the fitting portion and the fitted portion. Gap filling mechanisms 41, 44 and 45 are provided to close a gap between the protrusion 40t and the recess 40k to mutually restrain the protrusion 40t and the recess 40k when the fitting portion and the fitted portion are fitted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
