To suppress vibration, noise and powdery dust and to easily demolish a mat slab.SOLUTION: A cutting step comprises: a groove portion forming step of forming a groove portion 2 reaching an intermediate portion in a vertical direction of a mat slab 1 from an upper end portion along an outer periphery portion of a region 13 to be cut; a core hole forming step of forming first core holes 41 so as to reach a bottom portion 2a of the groove portion 2 in two different positions in the groove portion 2; a wire saw device installing step of installing a pulley 52 in each of two first core holes 41, installing an intermediate portion 51a in a longitudinal direction of a wire saw 51 so as to surround the region 13 to be cut, winding the wire saw 51 around the two pulleys 52, and pulling out both end portions 51b in the longitudinal direction of the wire saw 51 to an upper part of the mat slab 1 through the core hole; a bottom portion cutting step of pulling upward each of both end portions 51b of the wire saw 51, making the wire saw 51 move along a bottom portion 13a of the region 13 to be cut, and cutting the region 13 to be cut.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
