To propose a painting device which causes unevenness less likely to occur in a thickness of a paint coat, and to propose a painting method using the painting device.SOLUTION: A painting device 1 includes: an arm 3 which reciprocates; a nozzle 4 which reciprocates separately from the arm 3 at a tip of the arm 3; and a travel dolly 2 on which the arm 3 is mounted. In a paint method using the paint device 1 to perform painting on a surface of a painted object, a moving speed of the travel dolly 2, a rotation number of the arm 3, and a rotation number of the nozzle 4 are adjusted to set a thickness of a paint coat.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
