To provide a gypsum molded article which has excellent fire resistance and excellent bending strength and a manufacturing method therefor, and provide a construction material including the gypsum molded article.SOLUTION: A gypsum molded article includes gypsum and cellulose acetate, in which the content of cellulose acetate is 6 pts.mass or more and 35 pts.mass or less based on 100 pts.mass of the total amount of the gypsum and the cellulose acetate. A manufacturing method for the gypsum molded article includes: a kneading step of kneading a raw material containing the cellulose acetate of 6 pts.mass or more and 35 pts.mass or less based on 100 pts.mass of the total amount of the gypsum and the cellulose acetate to obtain an admixture; and a molding step of molding the admixture. The gypsum molded article is produced by the manufacturing method for the gypsum molded article.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
