DESULFURIZATION AGENT, AND METHOD FOR DESULFURIZING CEMENT KILN EXTRACTED GAS
To provide: a desulfurization agent obtained by a simple method; and a method for desulfurizing cement kiln extracted gas, by which chlorine bypass exhaust gas exhausted from a chlorine bypass system in a cement kiln facility can be desulfurized with high efficiency in a simple facility which is easily installed on an existing cement kiln facility.SOLUTION: The desulfurization agent includes a cement curing system discarded material having a water content of 10 mass% or more and 55 mass% or less, and a BET specific surface area of 5 m/g or more and 40 m/g or less. The method for desulfurizing cement kiln extracted gas includes extracting part of combustion gas from a kiln exhaust gas flow path in a cement kiln facility, removing chlorine from the extracted gas, and then performing desulfurization. In the method for desulfurizing cement kiln extracted gas, the extracted gas and the desulfurization agent described above are brought into contact with each other, to desulfurize the extracted gas.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
