To provide a vehicle door handle device which can prevent a bell crank from being held at a holding position for assembling an outside handle when the outside handle is operated by a user.SOLUTION: A vehicle door handle device includes a frame, a bell crank, and a metal bracket. The metal bracket has a first engaging portion for holding the bell crank in a temporary holding position. The metal bracket is attached to the frame in a state in which the first engaging portion engaged with the engaging portion of the bell crank at the temporary holding position is movable in the engagement releasing direction in which the engagement between the first engaging portion and the engaging portion of the bell crank is released.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
