To provide a surface coating member which can be laid in a finished state where appearance is beautiful even in a place where a laying line is curved, and which can be easily laid out, and to provide a method for laying the same.SOLUTION: In a surface coating member 10, which is used for coating the surface of an object to be executed by forming a main body 12 in a plate shape and combining a plurality of the main body parts together, an arcuate convex part 14A and an arcuate recess 14B provided on the opposite side of the arcuate protrusion 14A and into which the arcuate protrusion 14A can enter, at outer periphery 14 of the main body part 12 are formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】 敷設ラインが曲線なっているような施工対象箇所であっても見た目が美しい仕上がり状態で敷設することが可能であって、容易に敷設することが可能な表面被覆部材とその敷設方法を提供すること。【解決手段】 本体部12が板状をなし、複数個を併設して施工対象範囲の表面を被覆するために用いられる表面被覆部材10であって、本体部12の外周辺14には、円弧状凸部14Aと、円弧状凸部14Aと反対側の部位に設けられ、円弧状凸部14Aが進入可能な円弧状凹部14Bと、が形成されていることを特徴とする表面被覆部材10である。【選択図】図1
