OVERTURN PREVENTION DEVICE FOR STEPLADDER
To provide a lightweight overturn prevention device for a stepladder, which is versatile enough to be attached to various stepladders, and does not have a configuration that prevents horizontal installation between supports.SOLUTION: An overturn prevention device 1 for a stepladder is attached to the lower end of a stepladder support 50. The overturn prevention device 1 for the stepladder is configured by combining an accommodating portion 2 for housing the support 50 and a flat base portion 4 extending in the width direction of the ladder. An opening 2a is formed in the horizontal direction of the accommodating portion 2. The opening 2a is connected to a cutout 2b on the upper surface for accommodating the support 50 in a split manner. The upper portion of the opening 2a can be closed by a closing portion 6. A screw shaft 8a of a pressing portion 8 that can press the side of the support 50 is screwed into the side surface of the accommodating portion 2 in the width direction. The accommodating portion 2 is assembled to the base portion 4 in a state in which a restoring force is accumulated by squeezing a slit 2c on the bottom surface and the cutout 2b on the top surface so as to reduce the opening 2a in the horizontal direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
