To provide a pile driving machine comprising a lifting portion capable of easily and stably performing attachment and detachment of a lifting rope with a simple structure, and a lifting method of a pile driving machine.SOLUTION: In a bifurcate portion 29 which is provided on an upper face of a leader bracket 15 and to which a base end portion of a hydraulic cylinder adding tension to a back tension rope provided at a leader rear portion side is detachably mounted, a cylindrical boss member 40 around which a lifting rope 39 is wound is formed so as to be mounted, in a state where the hydraulic cylinder is detached.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
