To improve the fire prevention property without affecting the manufacturing cost and the workability in manufacturing.SOLUTION: A structure for supporting a thermally expandable member 50C on an upper stile 22 constituting an inner sliding sash 20 of a fitting, includes: two spaced-apart engagement plates 62; and a support member 60C having a cover member 61 connecting between the engagement plates 62. An engagement receiving portion 22a and an engagement receiving portion 22b are provided on both sides in the width direction of the thermally expandable member 50C on the upper stile 22, the support member 60C is held by the upper stile 22 such that one of the engagement plates 62 is in engagement with the engagement receiving portion 22a via one of engaging pawl portions 63 and the other of the engagement plates 62 is in engagement with the engagement receiving portion 22b via the other of the engaging pawl portions 63, and the thermally expandable member 50C is interposed between the cover portion 61 and the upper stile 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
