DRIFTWOOD CATCHING FACILITY
To provide a driftwood catching facility which can improve catching efficiency of a driftwood by modifying a direction of driftwood by utilizing force of flowing water.SOLUTION: A driftwood catching facility comprises: a catching screen 20 of driftwood 60; and an overflow weir 30 installed at an upstream side of the catching screen 20 so as to protrude from a river bed. Directions of the driftwood 60 are modified to a direction in which the driftwood is easily caught by the catching screen 20 by utilizing a flow speed difference in a backwater transition section 51 formed at an upstream side of the overflow weir 30 in occurrence of boulder flow. Catching efficiency of the driftwood 60 in the catching screen 20 is improved by aligning directions of the driftwood 60 in a specific direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】流水の力を活用して流木の向きを修正することで流木の捕捉効率を高められる、流木の捕捉施設を提供すること。【解決手段】流木60の捕捉スクリーン20と、捕捉スクリーン20の上流側に河床から突出して設置された越流堰30とを具備し、土石流等の発生時に越流堰30の上流側に形成される背水遷移区間51の流速差を利用して流木60の向きが捕捉スクリーン20で捕捉され易い方向へ修正される。特定方向に流木60の向きを揃えることで捕捉スクリーン20における流木60の捕捉効率を高めた。【選択図】図2
