To provide an electric resistor capable of suppressing an increase in electrical resistivity even if exposed to high temperature, a honeycomb structure using the electric resistor, and an electric heating type catalyst device using the honeycomb structure.SOLUTION: An electric resistor 1 contains a borosilicate 10 and a silicide 11. An absolute value of oxide generation energy of the silicide 11 is preferably less than that of oxide generation energy of silicon. A honeycomb structure 2 includes the electric resistor 1.
